Waiting For The End - Linkin Park
If you didn’t catch it, I just recently posted their official video for this song. I’m just posting this because this is very first time that I listen to a song for 5-7 times straight. Please agree with me that this song is awesome? Oh fuck it, whatever people say, I’m now a Linkin Park fan. haha!

Vans Hiker California Mid Skool 77
Vans being the top dog in the skating world of style, is venturing to new cultures. Here you see their version of hiking shoes. Though I’m not really sure if this is the best shoes for hiking, it sure is a breath of fresh air from a dope shoe brand. If I were to choose one from this collection, I’d have to say the one with the walnut/brown colorway. It is the safest and most classic looking for me. What’s your pick?

1986 Michael Jordan at Late Night with David Letterman
I can’t explain how I feel when I saw the video. It would’ve been cool if I saw Jordan’s glory days. Vintage at its best!

If you haven’t heard of The Hundreds yet, then you don’t know the streetwear industry at all. Every junkie I know, knows who they are, some are just familiar and some are extreme fans.

The Hundreds started at LA, run by Ben and Bobby Hundreds, it is the living sample of a pioneer independent lifestyle brand. The brand is inspired by the Los Angeles lifestyle and the California culture, skate, surf, hip-hop, and the punk cultures in particular. In their 6 years, their fanbase sky-rocketed from a few to millions from all over the world.

Here is their website, thehundreds.com. The homepage is a blog run by Bobby Hundreds. He posts everything he does and likes. Events, his lifestyle, the industry, and lotsa great photos are the main subjects of his blog. Besides Bobby Hundreds, there are other bloggers in the website too, Meow, ynot and Rob. Be sure to check them out, each has their own themes and interesting things to provide.

Here are some photos that you can see at the homepage. Something I really admire also about Bobby Hundreds is his capability with his camera. Besides being extra dope as the The Hundreds owner, he has skill with arts, photography in particular.

But it wouldn’t be as successful without the apparel. Not just stopping as the epitome of the interactive independent lifestyle brand, The Hundreds is and has always had one step ahead when it comes to style and fashion, but always brings their grassroots with every collection. Classic with their own version of swag. That’s how they became a top dog in the industry.
Plus!!

One thing I admire about their brand is their subtle use of marketing. Though they are not outspoken on how their marketing rocks, it really kicks ass. First their interactive blog, if not for that, consumers wouldn’t have something to get attached to except the apparel. And that’s something very important, getting everyone attached to your brand, for assurance that when all else fails they are still their to love your brand as it is. Next this one I’m really amazed by the idea, their Photobooth. Every shop they have has a webcam that customers and passers-by could use to take a photo of themselves, and these photos will automatically be posted to the Photobooth blog.
You may feel it is not that important to have it, you have a point, but in my opinion it promotes their relationship with their customers more. Giving them the freedom to let themselves be acquainted with the brand. This for me increases customer loyalty and strengthen customer relationship. A small act it may seem, but it helps the brand immensely.
The brand has grown tremendously, from just shirts, they now have shoes, eyewear, jeans, shorts, etc. From their very first shop at LA, then the San Francisco one, and just opened this year their New York shop. A true example of an independent lifestyle brand being successful starting from grassroots.
In addition, both Ben and Bobby Hundreds are part of America’s 30 Coolest Young Entrepreneurs. Well, that’s something.
All photos grabbed are from their website. Check them out, I’m sure you’ll have fun!

Mid-cut is what I’m craving for now. And this one just looks right for my everyday needs. The colors are very simple and neutral that it can fit almost every style.
